Welcome to 2016!

Happy New Year!

After months of living life off the blogospheric globe, I have decided to rise from the so-called ashes. Also, I am taking a hiatus from Facebook (gasp! I know).

I struggled with an “idea” for my site – would I write about food, showcase my photography, or just blog my emotions? I simply concluded that I can neither be defined nor be corralled by a label. So, with that being said, I welcome you to my new (and hopefully soon-to-be improved corner of the web). There’s not much here, since I deleted everything; I cannot even decide on a theme/template. Still trying to figure a lot of things out – bear with me. Or bare with me? Hmm, anyway…

Yesterday and today have been rather busy, as I have been trying to keep my thoughts occupied. You see, I am…in love. Yes, to put it simply. I will spare the details, but I am eager to see what 2016 has in store for us. Hopefully moving in together. We’ll see. I’m trying not to think about it, because I do not want to jinx anything. I have been unlucky in love for a while. And I didn’t hear from him tonight – so my nights when we don’t talk are always a bummer… So anyway… I refinished my bathtub!

I used a refinishing kit from Lowes, that could can find here. If you plan on refinishing your tub and you only have one means of bathing, have a 72-hour plan! I think the results speak for themselves.

A year of living on the road sure shows... gross!

After some elbow grease, it looks decent. Dying my hair red ruined my tub.

Whew! What an improvement.

Whew! What an improvement.

Re-finishing my tub was a lot of fun. I can’t believe the improvement! I’m not too concerned about the shower walls right now, because they’ll be replaced sometime in the near future. Baby steps!

I even tackled my home office / junk room. I can’t even count the amount of items I threw away or the items bagged up to be donated. Ugh! Out with the old to make room for the new! Well, with the excitement of opening my heart to someone, I want to open my home – so that includes making my home as presentable as I can.

Oy! I can’t stop thinking about him. The more I try not to, the more my head fills with thoughts of him.

Well, off I go. Going to get back to my True Blood marathon and site building.
